Dragon Crisis: Critic

Opinions expressed in this post toward Dragon Crisis anime is all from Nameless's personal peer.

Dragon Crisis finished its 12 episodes anime version by end of March, 2011. Based on a light novel of Kaya Kizaki, this Studio DEEN anime production is nothing but disappointing.

Ryūji Kisaragi, the hero, is a high school student with high profile parents in the profession of Lost Precious--relics from ancient times that usually are embodied with extreme strong power. The meeting of his cousin Eriko begets a reunion of Ryūji and the Red Dragon Rose. Other dragon species and several more pieces of Lost Precious involved later did not make the anime better.
Red Dragon: Rose
The story starts like a fantasy, ends like a failed pocket novel. Usage of legends of dragons is totally unsuccessful to rescue the weakly plotted story, not to mention the childish expression of the bonds between human and dragon.

Depending solely on famous casting staff, some cute pictures of animated girls, in addition to several scenes of beach swimming suits, Dragon Crisis managed to 12 episodes with not much content of interests. It did not make good use of the concept of Lost Precious, nor did it take advantage of the legends of dragons. The itching touch of coexistence of human and dragon only shows its weak points.

Totally not recommended by Nameless.
